Agenda Overview

Doors open at 08:30 on Tuesday, 29th October 2013 for the first day of conference sessions and exhibition features. The three co-located conference programs start at 09:30 and feature a mix of half-day ‘Spotlight sessions’, keynote addresses, SNIA presentations, customer case studies, industry 'hot-topics' and vendor tutorials lead by a mix of independent experts, analysts, end-users and industry professionals. The full conference program resumes on Wednesday, 30th October 2013 at 9:30 with the final sessions finishing at 15:55 (Expo Area in Hall 5 closes also at 16:00).

As we prepare the program for 2013 we are mindful that we are in a period of enormous change where organisations are looking to use IT technologies to radically change their operations, processes and procedures, and in many cases their complete business models.

Our program therefore needs to reflect this dynamic evolutionary nature of today’s business environment and help CIOs and all IT Professionals understand the breadth of what is possible.

With this in mind the organisers of the 'Powering the Cloud' conferences wish to enhance the role of the Spotlight Sessions, pioneered in 2012, to give delegates a real insight into the business opportunities and potential that the cloud and new data center technologies now offer.

The Spotlight Sessions will combine ‘Thought Leadership’ presentations, technology insights, market leading case studies and perceptive panel sessions addressing the reality of implementing technologically advanced solutions.

This year the Spotlight Sessions will cover 5 key themes that are vital to CIOs across Europe.

  • Big Data - An exploration of reality
  • Securing your data - The role of security in a connected world

  • Enabling 'new & old world' enterprise scale applications across the data center and the cloud

  • All about the management – Managing operations and outcomes in a hybrid world

  • Rethinking your data center architecture – Evolution or Re-creation
As well as these important Spotlight Sessions we will continue to enhance the content of the three co-located conferences and exhibitions that make up ‘Powering the Cloud’ to educate and inform as well as help you formulate your plans and forge strong business relationships.

Delivered by a combination of industry association expertise, independent analysts and European IT professionals, the conference content will provide valuable insight and clear guidance on the options available. SNW Europe, Datacenter Technologies and Virtualization World are the events to book into your calendar early if you are responsible for or involved in any of these IT services in your organisation.

Conference Partner Sessions

We will once again host a series of association seminars from our conference partners.

CloudCamp is an unconference where early adopters of Cloud Computing

  • "From several angles, SNW Europe is the number one event for the storage industry in Europe and beyond. There is no other entry in the industry calendar that allows you to connect with as many relevant storage influencers as this event. SNW Europe has the highest storage IQ/sqm. Unmissable in my opinion." - Tom Leyden, Director of Marketing and Alliances, Amplidata
